We read the small print so you do not have to.
PrismReview is an independent editorial publication covering casino brands licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. We are not an operator. We take no deposits, hold no customer funds and settle no wagers.
Independent
Our scores are set by the editorial desk against a fixed rubric. Commercial arrangements are disclosed, and no operator has ever been given approval over a review before publication.
Evidence based
Everything we publish comes from a real account, a real deposit and a real withdrawal. If a figure is estimated or supplied by an operator, we say so in the review.
UK only
If a brand does not appear on the UK Gambling Commission public register for the domain in question, it does not appear here. There are no exceptions and there is no paid route around it.
Who we are
PrismReview was founded in 2026 by a small team with backgrounds in consumer publishing, payments operations and regulatory compliance. We started it for a simple reason: most casino comparison pages in the UK rank brands by commission rate and dress it up as an opinion. That is not a review. It is a rate card with adjectives.
Our approach is deliberately narrow. We cover a very small number of brands, and we cover them properly. We would rather publish two reviews we can defend line by line than fifty pages assembled from operator press material.
How we test
Each brand is put through the same sequence, in the same order, by the same desk.
- Licence verification. We open the UK Gambling Commission public register, locate the operator account number, confirm the licence status is active, and confirm the exact domain we are testing is listed against that account. Both brands on this website are verified under account number 39335.
- Registration and identity checks. A real account is opened with real documents. We record how many rounds of verification were needed, how clearly the request was worded, and how long approval took.
- Deposit and withdrawal cycle. We deposit using at least two methods, then raise multiple withdrawals on different days, including at least one at a weekend. We log the slowest result, because that is the one that matters when you actually need the money.
- Safer gambling audit. We time how long it takes to find and set a deposit limit, a loss limit, a session reminder and a self-exclusion from a cold start. We confirm that tightening a limit takes effect immediately rather than after a cooling period.
- Support probing. Awkward questions are put to live chat and email at different hours, including overnight, and we record both response time and whether the answer was correct.
- Terms review. The full terms, bonus terms and payment terms are read end to end. Wagering requirements, conversion caps, contribution tables, dormancy fees and withdrawal restrictions are written out in plain English in the review.
How the score is built
Each pillar is scored out of ten from testing, then weighted: licence verification and safety 30 per cent, withdrawal handling 25 per cent, safer gambling tooling 20 per cent, support quality 15 per cent, terms transparency 10 per cent. The result is rounded to one decimal place. A brand that fails licence verification is never published, at any score.
How we make money
Some outbound links to operators are commercial affiliate links. If you open an account through one, the operator may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing, changes nothing about the offer you receive, and buys no influence over scoring or ranking order. The full statement is on our Disclosure page, and every commercial link on this website is marked sponsored in its markup.
Corrections
If anything on this website is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Corrections are made to the page itself and the review date is updated. Write to editorial@prismreview.co.uk or use the contact form.
What we are not
We are not a gambling operator, not a licensing authority, not an alternative dispute resolution provider and not affiliated with the UK Gambling Commission, GAMSTOP, GamCare, BeGambleAware or Gamblers Anonymous. We cannot recover funds, reopen a closed account or overturn an operator decision. Where a dispute needs escalating, the route is the operator complaints process first, then its named alternative dispute resolution provider.
Adults only. This website is intended for people aged 18 or over located in the United Kingdom. Gambling can be addictive. If it stops being entertainment, free confidential support is available on the National Gambling Helpline, 0808 8020 133.
